What is Sapele Plywood ?
Sapele plywood is a high-end decorative plywood made with African hardwood Sapele as the veneer or core layer. Entandrophragma cylindricum is a tropical hardwood commonly referred to as “African mahogany” due to its color and texture resembling Mahogany. Shabili plywood is suitable for projects that pursue natural wood grain beauty and durability, and is a high-quality and affordable alternative to mahogany.

1. Elegant appearance
Color: The heartwood is reddish brown to dark brown in color, and becomes darker with oxidation over time. It has a strong luster.
Texture: Straight or staggered patterns, some with a “satin luster” or “flame pattern” (similar to peach blossom wood).
2. Excellent physical performance
High hardness (approximately 1410 lbf Jenca hardness), superior wear resistance and deformation resistance compared to ordinary wood.
Natural anti-corrosion and insect proof, suitable for indoor and outdoor use (requires anti-corrosion treatment).

Easy to cut, polish, paint or dye, suitable for fine woodworking.
4 Environmental friendliness

Differentiate levels:
AA grade: Double sided Shabili veneer, flawless, suitable for visible areas (such as furniture surfaces).

Check environmental friendliness: Choose E0/E1 grade plywood to avoid exceeding formaldehyde standards.
Attention to anti-corrosion requirements: If used outdoors, waterproof glue (such as WBP glue) or additional anti-corrosion treatment should be selected.
